Meet Alana, a 14-year-old student at Cristo Rey High School who has begun to thrive at Cristo Rey High School. Alana became part of the school’s Corporate Work Study Program, which allows her to work one day a week with the marketing team at a national facilities services company. The H4H Foundation helped support Alana through the HOPE Scholarship, which has helped Alana to gain valuable work experience at a young age.

Under the guidance of her mentor, Alana has learned to use Adobe Illustrator and InDesign—developing skills in branding, design, and digital creativity. She’s especially proud of a logo she designed that was submitted for possible use on a new building for the corporation she has been working with.

Thanks to the HOPE Scholarship and support from those who believe in her, Alana is gaining confidence, growing her skills, and exploring her potential. Her story shows just how impactful the H4H Foundation’s HOPE Scholarship Program is for students at Cristo Rey High School.
