Our Annual Project “Backpacks-4-Success”

Our annual project, Backpacks-4-Success, was established to celebrate the back-to-school experience for underprivileged students by providing them with the necessary supplies to start the school year. The objective of this backpack project is to ensure that every child we assist, from elementary to middle school, is equipped with essential tools, resources, and services for a successful academic year. Over the past two years, our foundation has generously donated 10,500 backpacks to families with children aged 3 to 18, helping them prepare for the new school year by providing school supplies, lunch bags with nutritious snacks, educational activities for kids, and insulated water bottles. We strongly believe that today’s children are tomorrow’s future, which is why it is crucial to nurture and support them. Recently, on Saturday, July 29, 2023, the H4H Foundation actively participated in the Head Back to School Resource Fair, where a total of 544 backpacks were distributed to families with children, thanks to the generous support from various individuals.

With support from generous organizations and donors, we were able to donate 500 backpacks each to the Orangewood Foundation,  The Sheriff’s Youth Foundation Los Angeles,  Families and Communities Together (FaCT), a network of Family Resource Centers (FRCs) administered by over 100 community partners. 100 backpacks To SAHARA (South Asian & Referral Agency) and 200 backpacks to SANS (South Asian Network). Thanks to the support of our partners, we remain committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our children by helping create better opportunities for their future. We are proud to serve at 11 community resource centers that operate in collaboration with our partners in Orange CountySan Bernardino County, and Los Angeles County. As part of our annual back-to-school events, happening from July 29 to August 26, 2023, we are organizing summer giveaways. These events involve nearly 60 volunteers from various community groups distributing backpacks, school supplies, and hosting mini events. Through this initiative, we aim to foster increased community outreach to provide assistance to families in need.
